Application of mulch (rice straw) had significantly influenced the seed yield (16.36qha-1), Stover yield (30.21qha-1) and harvesting index 56.73%. Mulch had significantly improved the quality parameters viz., oil percentage (35.73 %), oil yield (4.97qha-1), protein percentage (20.43 %) and protein yield 3.00qha-1. Mulch gives significantly higher cost of cultivation ( 39880ha-1), Gross return ( 90582ha-1), Net return ( 57702ha-1) and BC ratio 1.27. The maximum seed yield (16.92 qha-1), Stover yield (30.64qha-1), harvesting index (55.93%) was recorded in treatment 100% CPE ratio followed by 75% CPE ratio and 50% CPE ratio, respectively. According to the data, 100 % CPE gives maximum oil percentage (35.77 %), oil yield (5.26qha-1), protein percentage (20.59 %) and protein yield (3.39qha-1) as compare to75% CPE ratio and 50% CPE ratio. The seeds obtained with 75% CPE ratio resulted in highest oil contents (36.29 %). It is evident from the data that highest cost of cultivation ( 35367 ha-1), gross return ( 86966 ha-1) and net return ( 51599 ha-1), B: C ratio (1.46) was obtained from application of 100% CPE ratio as compared to compare to75% CPE ratio and 50% CPE ratio. It is clear from the data in the table that seed yield (21.80 qha-1), Stover yield (35.51 qha-1), harvesting index (76.31%), significantly influenced due to the fertilizer treatments. The significantly higher oil percentage (35.34%), oil yield (5.85 qha-1), protein percentage (20.59%) and protein yield (3.61qha-1) was recorded in the treatment 100% RDF that was significantly higher than treatment 75% of RDF and No fertilizer. Data suggests that 100% RDF gives maximum cost of cultivation ( 36071ha-1) and gross return ( 95977ha-1) which was maximum with application of mulch and 100% CPE ratio in combination with 100% RDF. And it was also found that the same gave maximum net return ( 59905ha-1) and also highest B: C ratio (1.66).
