The experiment was conducted at the nursery, University Orchard, Department of Fruit crops, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during 2015-2016 to study the effect of seven different seed treatments viz., Halo polymer @ 3ml kg-1 for 2 minutes (S2), KNO3 @ 1.0 % for 12 hours (S3), KH2PO4 @ 1.0 % for 12 hours (S4), PPFM @ 2.0 % for 12 hours (S5), KCl @ 2.0 % for 12 hours (S6)  and GA3 @ 200 ppm (S7) along with control (S1). This experiment was laid out in completely randomized design with three replications in polythene bags. For each replication 25 polythene bags were raised for this study. Among the treatments, KNO3 @ 1.0 % for 12 hours (S3) followed by PPFM @ 2.0 % for 12 hours (S5) showed positive significant influence on seed germination, seedling growth parameters viz., seedling height, girth, shoot and root biomass.
